Project 365 - Colors of Life (January 29, 2012)

The phrase “Life is full of colors,” is used in a positive connotation.  Do we really take colors as a symbol of positivity in our life?

Random, but I sort of disagree with this.  Life is not colorful, nor is it full of them.  Life is a blank canvas, in which, we paint colors accordingly.  Each of us chooses to live the life according to the colors we would like to see.

Project 365 - Lemongrass (January 28, 2012)

Lemongrass tea is my new favorite drink.

Not because it’s healthy, actually I am not even aware of the health benefits properly, but mainly because it tastes just right!

Project 365 - Life & Complications (January 27, 2012)

My love and hate relationship with my CPA books is pretty complicated.  I somehow want to get rid of them, yet at the same time I need them to be around me.

Life and its complications at its peek is what I call CPA.

Project 365 - Tangled lights (January 26, 2012)

"Where are the lights I asked for?" exclaimed my dad.
My sister replied; "Sigh! Not the lights again."
Dad: "Why is it so difficult for you to help me put the lights up."

I was sitting across the room, listening to this conversation and smiling at them.  My dad was very eager to arrange the lights across the room and my sister, not wanting to be a part of it all.

Once I realized the situation was going nowhere, it was time for me to step in.  All three of us worked "crazily" to put the lights around the room.

End result:  My dad and sister both relieved because the task was finally completed!

Project 365 - Paan Masala (January 25, 2012)

“Jo hai sab ki pasand..”
“meri muthi mein band”…. “Hai kya?” ….”bata doon na?”
“Naaz Paan masala”…”Naaz paan masala”

Throughout my childhood, this commercial has been my favorite.  I used to buy the Paan masala, just to reenact the commercial.  Good old childhood days! :)

Project 365 - Zaviya books (January 24, 2012)

My Love for urdu books is pretty unexplainable.  Give me the same book in English and it will take me months to read it, whereas a book in urdu will be only a few days’ worth of reading.

Just got my set of Zaviya books by Ashfaq Ahmed, cannot wait to go through them.

Project 365 - Winter Wonderland (January 23, 2012)

Winter’s most admirable trait is that it resembles human emotions by far the most, out of the other seasons at least.  You feel all warm inside, looking out your window, onto the snow.  A smile appears on your face, watching the snow fall; one of the amazing sights, really.  All you think about is how these little drops of cotton balls are falling out, each different from the one before and the one after.  Just like the snow brings a swift of freshness to your eyes, it makes the atmosphere just as cold.  Before you realize it, you are shivering and want to wish for the cold winds to stop; just like our lives.

Once we are spectators of a situation, we enjoy it and not think about the reality which will follow afterwards.  Our mind is just an interesting spirit; we have yet to discover a balance.

Project 365 - Bonsai Plant (January 22, 2012)

I think I was waiting for Chinese year to come by to actually start working on my new year’s resolutions.  One of the goals was to keep up with Project 365 (where I would be taking a picture each day and posting it on Facebook or my Blog – perhaps both).

My obsession with plants is pretty self explanatory, to those around me ofcourse.  For those who do not know me, well Hello there – I know this was the part where I am suppose to tell you how crazy I am about plants and how all my friends are very “unsupportive” and “abrasive” towards it – and that sums it up pretty much!

Anyhow! This is my first picture of Project 365, a Money tree/Bonsai Plant.

The plants are described as – Plants that are thought to bring good fortune and luck to people, who may place it in their homes.   None of this was intentional ofcourse, I just wanted to find a plant for an empty pot I had bought – Yes, and I do buy cute plant pots from time to time, without the plants.  It just so happened that Luck found its way over to me, I was kind of in need of it anyway! J
